農委會支援台灣材 至善高中木工科創作在地生命力 邀您「線上疫起看」

今年受疫情影響，至善高中木工科作品展改為線上展示，學生與老師的台灣材作品將自7月2日起展出。家具木工科主任房俞佑表示，今年展覽以「溫室效應」作為主題，近十年來環保意識抬頭，樹林實施禁伐政策，許多人不知樹林是需要疏伐的。林木在成長的過程中，因林木彼此間之樹根和樹冠的競爭作用，導致栽植密度空間效應，林木樹冠鬱閉後不再持續下去，擁擠林木間之樹冠和枝葉重疊，也減弱林木生長，引起林木死亡。

至善高中教務主任陳彥呈指出，透過本次科展呈現，使學生更了解台灣材的種類與應用，更明白台灣林業所面臨的危機與轉機。也展現出師生的創造力，推廣使用國產材，運用木材的實做提升生活家具的便利實用，讓更多人認識台灣木材。
