桃園市政府文化局長邱正生表示，桃園鍾肇政文學獎邁入第九年，往年總計投稿人次達6,806人次，獲獎者155人，辦理文學推廣活動120場次，逾2萬人次參與，具有相當的規模，並已挖掘許多文學創作好手，這股文學能量更充分展現華文寫作的不同角度與鋒芒，也展現創作者於不同文類的創意與文學風景。
